Gown Restoration and Preservation
It
is important to have your gown
cleaned soon after your wedding. Our procedure
in caring for your gown:
-
We thoroughly inspect your gown for stains,
especially on the hemline. Beads and other
trims are tested for cleanability.
-
Your gown is carefully and expertly prespotted.
-
It is then individually cleaned in virgin
solvent at a high solvent level for approximately
4-5 minutes. We then dryclean
or wetclean
the gown depending on fabric, trim and condition.
-
It
is briefly extracted, dried and aired.
- The
gown is re-inspected and skillfully post-spotted,
if necessary.
- Hand
finishing follow, with extreme care taken
to follow the designer's line and drape.
- The
gown is carefully packaged in the archival
box within the cotton liner. The tissue is
used to cushion the folds.
- An
optional cotton muslin bag is available to
fit over the box. It can keep the box clean,
is washable and still allows maximum breathable
for the gown.
Store your garment in
a DRY
COOL
PLACE.
Never store your gown on a hanger or plastic!
